Cameron Esposito Joins The Dinah Festival in Palm Springs for a Historic Debut

The Dinah, one of the most iconic LGBTQ+ sapphic events, is set to welcome a new wave of talent in 2026. Among the standout performers is Cameron Esposito a comedian, actor, and writer who has been a significant voice in the queer community for years. This year’s festival, taking place from September 30 through October 4 in Palm Springs, California promises to be a memorable one with a lineup that includes Hayley KiyokoSasha KeableDa BratThe Aces and fellow comedians Pink Foxx and Abe Farrelly.

Under the new leadership of co-owners Rose Garcia and Bella Barkow The Dinah is embarking on a new chapter. One of the most exciting changes is the return of comedy to the festival, with Cameron Esposito being a natural choice for the stage. “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Cameron Esposito to The Dinah as we bring comedy back to the festival,” Garcia and Barkow shared with Out. “As one of the most exciting and recognizable out queer voices in comedy, Cameron represents exactly the kind of bold, authentic talent we love celebrating. From her fearless stand-up to hosting King of Drag we know she’s going to bring incredible energy, sharp humor, and unapologetic queer joy to The Dinah. We couldn’t be more excited to have her on our stage.”

The Dinah 2026: A New Era of Inclusivity and Celebration

The Dinah has been a beacon of queer community and connection for over three decades. This year’s festival is no exception, with a lineup that celebrates the diversity and talent within the LGBTQ+ community. Cameron Esposito, who has been a part of the queer community for years, is excited to finally experience The Dinah firsthand. “I came out around the time of the first L Word’s run on TV, so the Dinah has piqued my curiosity for 20 years,” Esposito shared. “If you know, you know.”

The festival has evolved over the years, just as queer culture itself has. Esposito is particularly excited about the inclusivity and the impressive lineup of artists. “I’m only into queer spaces — and pools — that are inclusive, so that, obviously,” she said. “Also, the line-up this year is packed with artists I really love. I’m sure the sea of bikini top and/or board short-wearing partiers would agree.”

Cameron Esposito: A Multifaceted Talent

Beyond her performance at The Dinah, Cameron Esposito has a busy year ahead. She is stepping into the host role for the second season of Revry’s King of Drag a drag king reality competition series that debuted last year. After appearing as a guest judge during season 1, Esposito will now preside over eight new episodes alongside judges GottmikVico Ortiz and Damian Pelliccione. The show features guest judges and appearances including Dustin Lance BlackYvie OddlyGinger Minj and select season 1 favorites.

Esposito is also developing a new podcast, working on a novel, and continuing to perform stand-up. In addition to her professional endeavors, she is spending much of her time as a stay-at-home parent. “I’m a lifelong multi-hyphenate,” Esposito shared. “I’ve got a new podcast in the works and a novel I hope to see once it’s finished. In the meantime, I’m vibing as a stay-at-home parent when I’m not on the road. Got the shortest crop top and library story time every time, baby.”

Advocacy and Resistance Through Joy

Comedy can be a powerful tool for advocacy, especially in today’s climate where LGBTQ+ people — and trans people in particular — are being used as political targets. Esposito has found a way to navigate this landscape by focusing on resistance through joy. “I spent my early career trying to change hearts and minds,” she shared. “These days I find resistance through joy. We must continue to keep all members of our community safe, especially our most vulnerable. I believe the fight can go hand in hand with drowning out the nonsense spewed by ridiculous personalities with Hayley Kiyoko. In short: Vote. Donate. Organize. Then fuck them, let’s dance.”

Esposito’s approach to comedy and advocacy is a testament to her commitment to the queer community. She believes in the power of live performance and the importance of supporting drag kings, who have historically received far less mainstream visibility than drag queens. “The art form itself is being showcased,” she said. “Audiences will see a huge range in the kings’ work, so that rules. Also, shows like Drag Race have packed venues for their queens. I know these kings will continues to draw larger and larger audiences as they become more visible and “
