In a vibrant celebration of Latin culture, Richard Sandoval Hospitality has joined forces with El Tequileño to introduce a limited-time cocktail collection. Available at participating restaurants nationwide from July 21 through October 15, this initiative not only showcases the richness of contemporary Latin cocktail culture but also supports the Old Ways, New Hands initiative. This mentorship and accelerator program is dedicated to empowering the next generation of Latin entrepreneurs.
The collection features five unique cocktails, each crafted to highlight the versatility of El Tequileño’s portfolio. From the fruity Guava Rita to the sophisticated Old Ways Old Fashioned every drink offers a distinct flavor profile that reflects the diversity of Latin heritage. The proceeds from these cocktails will directly support the Old Ways, New Hands initiative, fostering a new wave of culinary and entrepreneurial talent.
Empowering the Next Generation of Latin Entrepreneurs
Beyond the delightful cocktails, the collaboration between Richard Sandoval Hospitality and El Tequileño extends to a comprehensive mentorship program. Chef Richard Sandoval recently led this year’s class of culinary entrepreneurs on a three-day Mentorship Residency in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. Hosted at Casa Salles, the experience combined entrepreneurship education with authentic cultural immersion.
Participants engaged in one-on-one mentorship sessions, workshops covering branding, digital marketing, and restaurant operations, as well as immersive cultural experiences. These activities were designed to deepen their connection to their heritage while sharpening their business and culinary skills. The residency reflects the broader mission of Old Hands, New Ways, which blends business education, culinary innovation, and cultural storytelling to equip participants with the tools needed to build thriving businesses while honoring their heritage.
Supporting Entrepreneurs with Small Business Grants
In addition to hosting the cohort in Tequila and supporting the immersive educational experience, El Tequileño awarded five $5,000 small business grants to participating entrepreneurs. These grants provide meaningful resources to help fuel the continued growth of their businesses. The initiative underscores the commitment of both Richard Sandoval Hospitality and El Tequileño to nurturing talent and fostering entrepreneurship within the Latin community.
Richard Sandoval Hospitality operates 60 Latin concept restaurant locations across four continents, 13 countries, and 10 U.S. states. This extensive network not only showcases the rich culinary traditions of Latin America but also serves as a platform for supporting and promoting the next generation of Latin entrepreneurs.
